What is The Table of Grace?

The Table of Grace is a faith-based nonprofit ministry in Owensville, Missouri, providing free,
hot meals and a place of dignity, encouragement, and hope for anyone facing food insecurity or
difficult life circumstances.

Who can come to The Table of Grace?

Everyone is welcome; individuals, families, seniors, and anyone experiencing hardship. No registration, paperwork, or proof of income is ever required.

Where are you located?

We serve meals at the Owensville Community Center at 1010 Hwy 28 behind the Heartland building. Enter through the side doors (West side).

Meals & Services

When are meals served?

Community meals are served every Monday evening from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Holiday meals and special events are announced on our Facebook page.

Do I need to sign up to receive a meal?

No sign-up in needed. Simply come as you are

Is there a cost for meals?

All meals are completely free, made possible by volunteers, donors and community partners.

Do you offer services beyond meals?

We offer prayer, encouragement, community connection, and resource referrals. We also have free items available at our serving location. Additional programs will be added as our ministry grows.

Volunteering

How can I volunteer?

Volunteers can help with cooking, serving, greeting guests, cleaning, organizing donations, or leading teams. Sign up here or speak with a team lead during any Monday meal.

Do volunteers receive training?

Yes! We provide new volunteer orientation every 3rd Monday at the Heartland Community Center from 5:00-6:00 p.m.. Once you have gone through the volunteer onboarding class, we walk alongside you to teach volunteers to feel confident and supported in the role they chose to
serve in.

Can groups volunteer?

Absolutely. Churches, businesses, youth groups, and families often serve together.

How do I sign up for volunteer shifts?

After you’ve attended the Volunteer Orientation, you will be set up on our app, VicNet, to sign up for your own shifts.

What if I can’t make it to the shift I signed up for?

If you’ve signed up for a shift and are no longer able to volunteer, please remove yourself from the shift at least 48hr prior to your shift. If you are unable to make your shift and it is 48hrs or less, please email us and call us so we can find a replacement.

How can I donate?

We accept financial gifts, pantry items, meal ingredients, and supplies. Contact us through our website or email to coordinate drop-offs.

Shelf-stable foods, fresh produce, disposable serving supplies, cleaning products, and ingredients for Monday meals.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes, The Table of Grace Soup Kitchen operates as a nonprofit ministry with charitable purpose. We provide you with a receipt at the end of the year.
